Centennial Project

In 2022, the LTC launched its Centennial Project in celebration of the Club's 100-year history. This 3-part project is designed to update the LTC facility, making the courts even more welcoming and enjoyable for members and visitors alike.

In the fall of 2022, the court lights were re-oriented and new energy-efficient bulbs were installed, vastly improving the quality of lighting for evening play. Now members and visitors can enjoy court time well into the evenings from spring through fall.

Late in 2022, work was started on building a new, accessible washroom for the club. We expect this phase of the project to be completed in the spring of 2023.

Now the LTC planning committee, the executive, and the fundraising committee are in the early stages of the third and biggest phase of the Centennial Project: upgrading the courts with a more knee-friendly rubberized acrylic surface.

To this end, we are researching tennis court vendors, exploring grants and other funding sources, and launching our fundraising campaign among our members and local supporters. The cost of this phase of the project is estimated to be $200,000.

Before we apply for any municipal, provincial, or federal grants, we need to show there is robust local support among our membership and our community. Please consider donating generously. To find out how to donate to this project, please contact a member of the executive committee or a member of the fundraising committee.
